facilitate workshops

At Vikalp Kriya, we facilitate processes that encourage open dialogue, critical analysis, and the challenging of prevailing power dynamics. Our work delves into exploring rights, gender, participation, and communication to challenge the pervasive ‘culture of silence.’

Our services encompass comprehensive Learning Needs Assessments (LNAs), the design and development of modules and handbooks, workshop facilitation, hands-on support, and meticulous documentation of the learning processes.

Diverse participants converge in our workshops, including community volunteers, non-profit development workers, representatives from donor agencies and government departments, activists from campaigns and movements, theatre and media practitioners, students and faculty members, children and young people, farmers, and workers.

Embark on an exciting, engaging, and enriching learning journey with us! To host or participate in any of our workshops, reach out to us at [email protected]

Rehearsing Change isn’t easy.

It requires the courage to dream, the resolve to identify the root causes of systemic injustice, the critical thinking to analyse, and the creativity to challenge and transform.

From Dec 2 to 6, 2024, our triennial five-day residential workshop, Facilitating Participatory Theatre for Social and Ecological Justice, was held at the Leslie Sawhny Centre, Deolali. It brought together a dynamic blend of:
  • Practising participatory play-making and performances
  • Honing skills to facilitate dialogue with groups and communities
  • Negotiating a collective vision to foster transformative approaches for social and ecological justice

This year, 19 participants from 11 organisations across the country came together, each contributing unique perspectives and a shared commitment to change: Cohesion Foundation, Cotton Connect, Deep Griha Society, Equal Community Foundation (ECF), Foundation for Ecological Security (FES), Green Foundation, Lupin Foundation, Men Against Violence and Abuse (MAVA), Rainmatter Foundation, VACHA, and Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA).

Together, we’re rehearsing change and shaping pathways for a better future. The journey doesn’t stop here — it must go on!
