facilitate workshops

We facilitate processes that encourage dialogue, analyse and provoke a rethink on the dominant power relations
and explore rights, gender, participation and communication to challenge the "culture of silence"
We carry out learning needs assessments (LNAs), design and develop modules and handbooks, facilitate workshops, provide handholding support and document learning processes

our triennial, national workshops

Five-day Residential Workshop
In the background of an all pervading culture of silence, how do we facilitate liberatory processes and practices whereby groups and communities build critical thinking, assess their everyday reality, challenge dominant power relations, reclaim control over collective spaces, tell their own stories and sing their own songs for cultural action.

Five-day Residential Workshop
What do we understand by social change? How do we understand groups & communities? Are we adequately prepared for a paradigm shift in enacting social transformation? How does the nature and extent of participation influence communication processes? How do we define participatory communication?

What is facilitation? Can dialogue lead to reflection, action and enrich learning? How do we facilitate empowering processes with children, adolescents, youth, women, persons with disabilities...? Is there a scope for creative engagement with communities that are experiencing and shaping processes of social change? How to collaboratively design tools, methods and processes that groups and communities can own, access and control?

Five-day Residential Workshop
Do you believe that learning is an organic process (and not a mechanical one)? Does learning demand an ongoing engagement with oneself, to be able to relate with the immediate environment and consciously respond to the socio-political and cultural reality? Is participatory facilitation crucial in supporting and enabling a learning process for change?

What then is our role as facilitators in creating meaningful learning situations for groups and communities? How do we plan enriching learning opportunities? How do we design, adapt or adopt tools, exercises and methods that provoke a critical and creative thought process?
